Steak Night with Garlic Potatoes
A steakhouse-style supper for the backyard: Cow POW on the beef, Twisted Garlic on crisp potatoes, with SPG as a simple steak swap.
Serves 4 • Prep: 15 minutes • Cook: 35 minutes
Ingredients
2 lb trimmed sirloin steaks, about 1 inch thick
2 tsp Cow POW
1 1/2 lb baby potatoes, halved
1 tsp Twisted Garlic
3 tbsp olive oil, divided
1 tbsp chopped parsley
How to make it
Heat oven to 425°F. Toss potatoes with 2 tbsp oil and Twisted Garlic. Spread cut-side down on a sheet pan; roast 30–35 minutes, turning once, until tender and browned.
Pat steaks dry. Coat with remaining oil and Cow POW. Heat a grill to medium-high, about 450°F.
Grill steaks about 4–6 minutes per side, adjusting for thickness, until the center reaches at least 145°F. Rest at least 3 minutes before slicing.
Scatter parsley over potatoes and serve with the sliced steak.
Swap or combine flavors
Swap the 2 tsp Cow POW for 1 tsp SPG on the steaks. Keep Twisted Garlic on the potatoes. These are alternatives for the beef, not three full doses on one steak.
Make it a meal
Add the Garlic Green Beans with Lemon recipe for a green vegetable; start with the Salt Free option when the rest of the plate is already well seasoned.
Shop the flavors
The blends are finely ground: coat food lightly and evenly. Hold additional salt until you have tasted the cooked dish. Cooking times are estimates; use the doneness instructions.
