Char & Oak began as a competition cook team. The company, named after owner Tim Donald's two daughters, Charlotte and Oakley, started out competing in local chili and salsa contests. After a few trophies were collected, people began asking what spices were used in the recipes. A few years later, Tim began mixing and selling to friends and neighbors. From there, Char & Oak made the rounds at the local farmers markets. Low and behold, the spices began to sell, and the rest is history!
