Afterlife Butter Wings
Crisp wings tossed in a small, controlled dose of Afterlife butter after cooking.
Serves 4 • Prep: 15 minutes • Cook: 45–55 minutes
Ingredients
2 lb split chicken wings
1 tbsp neutral oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1/8 tsp The Afterlife
1 tbsp lemon juice
How to make it
Heat oven to 425°F. Place a lightly oiled wire rack over a foil-lined sheet pan.
Pat wings very dry and toss with neutral oil. Arrange on the rack with space between them.
Roast 45–55 minutes, turning halfway, until browned and the thickest pieces reach at least 165°F.
Mix butter, lemon juice and The Afterlife. Toss the cooked wings in the mixture using a clean bowl. Start with a small serving; the heat is deliberately concentrated in the finish.
Swap or combine flavors
For a different hot-wing version, omit The Afterlife and use 1/2 tsp Chick POW FIRE in the butter. This is a separate blend choice with a different heat profile, not an equal-heat swap.
Make it a meal
Pair with Crispy Garlic Smashed Potatoes and plain cucumber slices.
Shop the flavors
The blends are finely ground: coat food lightly and evenly. Hold additional salt until you have tasted the cooked dish. Cooking times are estimates; use the doneness instructions.
