Skillet Pork Chops with Lemon Apples
Pig POW pork chops with skillet apples and Sweet Lemon. Twisted Garlic makes a savory alternative for the chops.
Serves 4 • Prep: 15 minutes • Cook: 20 minutes plus 3-minute rest
Ingredients
4 boneless pork chops, about 6 oz and 1 inch thick each
2 tsp Pig POW
2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 tsp Sweet Lemon
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice
How to make it
Pat chops dry and season with Pig POW. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear chops 3–4 minutes per side. Lower heat and continue cooking as needed until centers reach 145°F. Transfer to a clean plate and rest at least 3 minutes.
Add remaining oil and apples to the pan. Cook over medium heat 4–5 minutes, stirring. Add water, Sweet Lemon and lemon juice.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until apples soften and liquid lightly coats them. Spoon apples beside the chops.
Swap or combine flavors
For a garlic version, replace Pig POW with 1 tsp Twisted Garlic on the chops. Keep Sweet Lemon on the apples as a pairing, rather than adding it as a second full rub.
Make it a meal
Add Backyard Vegetable Skewers with the Salt Free option.
Shop the flavors
The blends are finely ground: coat food lightly and evenly. Hold additional salt until you have tasted the cooked dish. Cooking times are estimates; use the doneness instructions.
